Tuesday Bloomsday

Hi Everyone Hope you have all enjoyed the lovely sunshine we had over the bank holiday weekend and managed to get some crafting done!
I have been asked by a number of crafters now about doing some video tutorials of the flowers that I make on Create and Craft and have started to film some, but in the mean time I thought I would do some blog posts, so here’s the first Tuesday Bloomsday post that I no doubt you have guessed by the title I will be posting on a Tuesday!

Okay so on to the tutorial I have done for today, for this card I have only used the Fleurs Rose petal die set to make all the flowers on the card.

Okay to start with I have for cut out a few petals in the Fleurs Flower Forming Foam in the colour cream, I love the cream so love the fact it now comes in a pack on its own! I have then added some colour to bottoms of the petals using some cut and dry foam to add some Distress Oxide in seedless preserves.

Next to add some texture into the flower petals I have held each petal in my fingers and just rolled them up till they keep their crumpled up form. Then open them on the bottom of the petal and gently stretch out the bottom of the petal only so the top keeps the crumpled texture (as in photo)

Once done for all your petals then it’s time to start building up the flower, to start with I cut a small piece of craft wire in green, and using a hot glue gun put a blob of hot glue on the end of the craft wire or in the middle of the petal what ever way is easier, and gently wrap the petal round the wire to make the centre of the flower, then add a blob of hot glue to the bottom of the petals staying with the smallest size cut out and add them onto the wire building up the flower

When happy with the smallest petals start adding in the larger size petals,
When adding in the petals I tend to place them in the gaps behind so you are filling out the flower, you can add in as many petals as you’d like to make the flower to the desired size and if you want to go larger then simply cut out the larger petal, follow the steps already done and add them to make the flower larger.

I have used this technique and the same set of dies to make all the flowers on this card along with some Kanban crafts card stock, i think it shows how just using some flower stamens or different colour foam how different the end result can be!

Hope that you have found today’s post helpful
Bye for now Laura x

Flakes and vellum

Hi everyone wow the weeks are flying by feels like I have been away from the blog for ages!

I hope you are enjoying playing with the new Indigoblu Christmas stamps if you have them already and if not check out the website the new stamps are stunning and we are going to be using two of them today!

To start with I have cut come some dark blue card stock to fit my card and then cut some white card a little smaller than that. Iv then painted the edges of the card with frosty sky and the middle with the brand new sleeping beauty, then cut a peace of vellum the same size as the painted middle part.

Using flitter glue on the snowflake lace stamp, stamp all over the vellum and rub with Sheffield steel mega flakes. Iv then stuck the vellum down behind the card and along the edge with ribbon. Iv then stamped the dinkie merry Christmas circle and cut it out with a little ribbon on.

Hope you've enjoyed today's post! Don't forget to pop over and say he to the Indigoblu stand if your going to Ally pally and if not we have free delivery on the website for you this weekend only!

Ice resin blog hop

Hi everyone I'm so so so excited to here today as part of the

How exciting!?! Also theres something really exciting for you guys! There's some amazing prizes up for grabs and all you have to do is leave a comment for a chance to win!

Iv been so lucky to be given the opportunity to make a Christmas jewellery
piece mixing my indigoBlu products with Ice resin! Amazing right?
And that's just what you could win!

To start with I stamped the snowflake lace stamp onto my black card with the flitter glue and then rubbed the mega flakes onto the glue. Then Iv cut out a piece of the card with the snowflake detail on to fit into the frame.

Iv put a layer of slap it on in the frame and the placed the piece of card initially and put a layer of slap it on over the card. This seals the card so top any colour running into the resin.

When that is completely dry, the fun starts with the ice resin! I mixed my equal parts into my ice resin pot and used my stick to mix it and then left it rest for 5 minutes,
Using my stick I added the resin to the frame until the whole are was covered and then added a
little extra to make it a beautiful dome!
Left over night to set and wala!

Products used,

As you probably already know by now this is a three day blog hop and here are the links to all the fabulous blogs that have been involved in the hop!

Christmas in July reminder

Hi everyone it's the mid way point in our blog challeneg so we have a little reminder post for you all, just to give you all a little extra inspiration,

The theme is Christmas in July so as long as your using your Christmas Indigoblu products your good to enter!

For the reminder post Iv gone simple style with the fabulous mega flakes!

Products used,

Iv used the conners Crown Jewels stamps as the main image stamped with Indigoblu flitter glue and then chariot of fire mega flakes on top.

The beautiful ribbon is just some plain cream ribbon that Iv stamped the snowflake lace stamp onto with the flitter glue and then put the chariot of fire on top, the glue is such good quality you still get all the detail on the ribbon that you would on card!

Thanks for stopping by hope to see you in the challenge
